Arcam FMJ A18 Integrated Amplifier

The Arcam FMJ A18 integrated amplifier is the second of two new products being launched in September to supersede the entry level Diva range of products and to also offer consumers affordable "quality" hi-fi at a time when there is a lot of economical doom and gloom in the country.
Priced at just £450, the Arcam FMJ A18 integrated amplifier is a truly affordable audiophile product featuring many things found in amplifiers far more expensive. For your money, you get an amp that offers fifty watts per channel, a high quality "logic controlled" pre-amplifier, a moving magnet phono amplifier stage (remember those?) complete with sound and build quality far superior to the Arcam Diva A70, the amplifier the FMJ A18 replaces.
The Arcam FMJ range derives its name from a company code name FMJ, Full Metal Jacket, but the name is no gimmick. Every model in the Arcam FMJ range uses a steel dampened low resonance chassis (SDS) that minimise any mechanical and unwanted vibrations. Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) is reduced using Arcams very own "Mask of Silence" and "Stealth Mat" innovations that ensure every nuance of the music is reproduced wherever possible.
Like any other piece of hi-fi, power supply an important part, and it is re-assuring to know that the Arcam FMJ A18 integrated amplifier uses a high quality toroidal power supply to feed the amplifier stages. All in all these new additions mean that this new FMJ amplifier should sound more detailed and dynamic with a more realistic portrayal of the music than the old model.
As with all Arcam FMJ products, the A18 integrated amplifier comes with a five year guarantee and you have the choice of a black or silver finish. Available now from your nearest Arcam stockist.
