The Arcam FMJ CD17 CD Player is one of two new products being launched by Arcam this autumn to provide high quality audio to those on a tight budget. The new Arcam FMJ CD17 CD Player is sensibly priced at a very reasonable £500 and replaces the entry level DiVA model, the Arcam Diva CD73.

Inside the new Arcam FMJ CD17 CD Player is a state of the art Wolfson 8741 digital to analogue converter, a very precise digital clock that plays such a big part in the CD player's timing and dynamics, some very fine audio grade components and a high quality power supply which uses a low noise torroidal transformer to feed the digital, analogue and servo parts of the CD player which all get their own regulated "star" earthed power supply.

However the improvements in the Arcam FMJ CD17 CD Player are not just restricted to the circuitry, the casing makes use of aluminium and steel to reduce resonance and in turn shields all the internal components. Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) is also reduced using Arcam's own "Mask of Silence" technology and a "Steath Mat" which allows even more subtle detail to be produced from the recorded media.

With all this superior build and sound quality, the new Arcam FMJ CD17 CD Player should be more than tempting, but if that was not enough, Arcam have also thrown in a five year warranty as well.

Available early September.
