Cyrus 6VS2 Integrated Amplifier

After gaining critical acclaim with the 6VS and 8VS, Cyrus having given both a makeover and here we have the Cyrus 6VS2 integrated amplifier which costs £600, £200 less than the Cryus 8VS2 which is the next model up.
For anyone who is new to Cyrus, their amplifiers (like their sister company Mission who build loudspeakers) have always sounded fast and rythmical making them an ideal partner with current musical trends. It will be to no one's surprise, that the Cryus 6VS2 is no exception. But the real trick is being able to cope with complicated rythmical mixes and yet still be able to portray the raw emotion of the vocalist something not all amplifiers can do as well as the Cyrus 6VS2.
Minimalism has always been at the forefront of Cyrus's designers and has long been one of the reasons behind the company's success, and although this amplifier comes complete with a remote control, the pre-amp section of the amplifier has been carefully designed to avoid sound colouration creeping in (something Cyrus like to call "VS preamp topology".
The Cyrus 6VS and 8VS2 are almost identical in design and layout with the exception that the 8VS2 employs a larger power supply which in turn means a higher power output, however the Cyrus 6VS2 is still able to pump out 40 watts per channel into 8 ohms which should be more than enough for most listeners and something some listeners may find surprising given the Cyrus 6VS2's compact but very solid footprint.
As with all Cyrus products there is an easy upgrade path available for the Cryus 6VS2 - for example it can be upgraded to 8VS2 standard back at the Huntingdon factory for little more than the difference in price between the two models.
The Cyrus 6VS2 should hit the shelves early november.
