Denon AVR-3806 Multi Channel Receiver

Every time a new model from Denon comes onto the market, they seem to have more features for less money and the Denon AVR-3806 Multi Channel Receiver is no exception.
The Denon AVR-3806 Multi Channel Receiver utilizes a lot of the technology and features from its flagship models the Denon AVC-AiXV and the Denon AVC-AiiXV costing over £2000 and £4000 respectively. The Denon AVR-3806 on the otherhand weighs in at only £1000 but you get a hell of a lot of features for your money. You only have to look at the rear of the Denon AVR-3806 to and see the number of inputs to appreciate what this amp can do as seen below.

So what what do you get for a grand ? Well for starters there HDMI video switching with video scaling up to 1080i or 720p from the other video inputs, 7 x 120 watts per channel into 8 ohms, 6 digital inputs, Dolby Pro Logic, Dolby Digital ES, DTS Neo:6, DTS Discrete and DTS 96/24.
The Denon AVR-3806 Multi Channel Receiver also features some complex surround modes that adjust the sound quality and levels from the speakers depending on the room environment so for example you could adjust the speakers at the rear if they were near a pair of curtains to sound brighter etc.
It is very hard to criticise the Denon AVR-3806 Multi Channel Receiver as it has a multitude of features and is very good value for money at under £1000 and the video scaler and HDMI switching really are a big positive.
