Eclipse TD510 Loudspeakers

If you are looking for a very high quality pair of loudspeakers with that "wow factor" to impress all your friends, then Eclipse might just have something of interest to you in the form of their award winning TD510 loudpspeakers bundled with their very own D6 speaker stands to give you the Eclipse TD10 'Floor'.
The combination of the Eclipse TD510 and D6 stands bought together are discounted by £100 meaning they will set you back around £1700 which is quite a lot of money for a pair of speakers but the Eclipse TD510 are no ordinary speaker and offer a clarity and signal accuracy free from the colouration normal associated with box shaped loudspeakers.
The Eclipse TD510 are based on the more expensive TD712Z which cost over £4000 and follow the same design principles and as you will realise from the picture above are egg shaped in design with the shell made from a mineral-loaded resin that a provides the most rigid body possible to house the 10cm loudspeaker drive units which have a usable frequency response of 45Hz-20khz (-10db). This all in one design of the Eclipse TD510 drive unit means no need for a crossover (which can cause all sorts of headaches for loudspeaker designers who have carefully match a woofer and a tweeter to produce a coherent sound stage) and coupled with a cabinet that has virtually no audible resonance means you get a very transparent sound that can convey all the scale, detail and soundstage of the original recording in glorious stereo with suberb imaging.
The Eclipse TD510 have been around for a few years now and have won several awards such as Editor's Choice (Hi-Fi Choice Magazine March 2006), 5 Stars (What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision January 2005) and Reference Status (Home Cinema Choice March 2007), so with all the extra money burning a hole in your pocket thanks to cheaper mortgages, why not do your bit for the UK economy and treat yourself to a pair ?
