New from Nad this spring comes the NAD T755 AV Receiver, a five channel 80 watt receiver. NAD's range of amplifiers have won many awards over the years for their engineering designs and some like the NAD 3020, 3120 and 3130 have something over a cult status and with companies like Fidele Audio offering modifications for these amplifiers, their reputation lives on.

The NAD T755 is a bit of a beast by comparison, but has been designed by the NAD engineers with music at the forefront of the design even though this is a surround sound amplifier. The NAD T755 weighs in at £900 in the UK, but you get a lot of amp for your money and all the surround sound bells and whistles you'd expect at this price level.

The NAD T755 supports Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital EX, ProLogic II, ProLogic IIx, DTS, DTS ES, DTS 24/96, DTS NEO:6, EARS and Stereo Enhanced Surround Modes and features Burr-Brown 24 bit 96kHz A/D and 24 bit 192kHz D/A converters and at the back of the T755 you will find 3 all important 1080p HDMI Video Inputs as well as numerous phono inputs for audio and video. It also nice to note that the NAD T755 does not shrimp on power like so many far eastern amplifiers of this type by making use of a very large toroidal power supply.

All in all the NAD T755 looks very impressive on paper and offers just that little bit more in terms of quality than some of the run of the mill competition.
