Naim Audio n-Vi
The new n-Vi from Naim Audio is a high quality all-in one home cinema and hi-fi solution which combines an AV pre amp featuring Dolby Digital, DTS and Dolby Pro Logic II, a five channel power amp, CD and DVD player. It also comes with a FM/DAB radio available as an optional extra. Another feature that will be of particular interest to the first uptakers of HDTV is the availability of a video scaler complete with an external video input available from this spring. All you need for a compete system is a set of speakers and you are away.
The n-Vi also features digital amplification (sometimes referred to Class T), a first for Naim and the designers really have gone to town when designing this box - there is even a 3.5 mm jack for playback of your mp3 player .
The n-Vi also supports a wide range of discs such as DVD, DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/-RW for video playback and CD, CD-R/-RW and DVD-A for audio playback. Output is rated at 5 x 50 watts per channel into 8 ohms, video outputs include DVI, component BNC, RGB Scart and S-Video as well as 2 coaxial and optical digital inputs, 3 phono analogues and the 3.5 mm mini jack for mp3.
