Net Audio Quad 405-3 Boards
As readers of the site will know, we are great lovers of the Quad current dumping amplifiers like the Quad 405 which Net Audio offer several upgrade paths for.
However, David Pritchard of Net Audio has now let us know that he has designed some brand new very high quality replacement boards that surpass the original ones by some distance. The reason for the new boards is simple, the sound quality of the Quad 405 can only be improved by a certain amount by upgrading the op-amps, output transistors and capacitors. If you really want to the take the sound quality of the Quad 405 to a new level you need to design a new board using the highest modern day electronic components available and that's exactly what Net Audio have done whilst still utilising the current dumping theory.
