Regular readers of this site will know already we are massive fans of the Oxypure range of cables, so we had to write a little review when we rigged our media center pc's DVI output to our new full HD LCD television using the Profigold Oxypure PGV1102 DVI HDMI cable.

Previously we had been using a cheap 1.5m HDMI cable to feed a 720P signal from the PC to the screen and even though the quality was good and vastly superior to a standard VGA feed, we knew it could be improved on further with a good quality cable and that is why the Profigold Oxypure PGV1102 DVI HDMI cable was used.

Now the Profigold Oxypure PGV1102 DVI HDMI cable is a no compromise ultra high quality cable, and features Oxypure's trademark 99.9997% oxygen copper free strands and triple screening and RFI/EMI filtering to ensure the digital signal received by the display monitor is of the optimum quality. However all this does not come cheap and the Profigold Oxypure PGV1102 DVI HDMI cable will set you back about £40 to £45 for a one and a half metre length (longer lengths are available), but rest assured, you get what you pay for and from the very first time we looked at the Windows Desktop on screen, it was obvious the new cable was in a different league to the cheaper one. For starters it was necessary to lower the screen brightness by about five percent such was the vibrancy, colour and brightness of the display. Picture quality was razor sharp and justified every penny of the cables cost.

If anyone is of the opinion that these cables do not make a difference, then try the Oxypure series as they do not disappoint.
