The Profigold PGV7500 is an extremely high quality scart lead that is ideal when using a high definition LCD television and a non HDMI scart only source such as a Sky Plus box.

The cable is a triple screened RGB only affair meaning no audio is transmitted between the source and the destination (although a full 21 wire version is available) and each conductor in the cable is made from Oxypure 99.9997% OCC single crystal copper for the cleanest possible signal. The connectors are also a special all metal design to reject RFI/EMI and 24k Gold Plated contacts and silver solder ensures the best possible signal transfer. The 1.5 meter cable also incorporate RFI chokes at each end. All this means you can be sure the Profigold PGV7500 will deliver the best possible picture quality.

I have used this cable for several years now with Sky Boxes and they seem to represent a sensible balance between cost and performance as they retail for £25-£30. However with the advent of high definition 1920x1080 resolution televisions, any shortfall in the performance of the cable will be easier to see on screen and this was the case recently when comparing this cable against the one included with the Sky Plus Box connected to a new 42" LCD television. Quite simply the difference in picture quality between the two was very obvious in terms of colour and vibrancy.

If you are still using cheap cables with a high definition TV be it Scart, Svhs or HDMI, then you should consider investing in something better. Profigold also supply HDMI, DVI and sVhs cables in the Oxypure range and they are all well worth the extra outlay - you do get what you pay for.
