Sony

I purchased the Sony XDR-M1 Portable DAB Tuner last summer, because I was wanting a decent portable tuner that I could listen to "Test Match Special" with and the Sony XDR-M1 Portable DAB Tuner seemed a sensible solution given it's in built DAB tuner to take advantage of all the new digital channels such as Radio 5 Extra.

Costing around £100, the Sony XDR-M1 Portable DAB Tuner is your typical stylish black Sony design with several buttons round the side and a toggle type joypad button on the front by which you navigate through the features and presets. The Sony XDR-M1 Portable DAB Tuner comes supplied with a mains adaptor and headphones with built in remote control. The Sony XDR-M1 Portable DAB Tuner is powered from two AA batteries. A good quality alkaline battery such as a Duracell should allow you to get over 10 hours listening from the Sony XDR-M1 Portable DAB Tuner.

Set up of the Sony XDR-M1 Portable DAB Tuner is very simple, just search for all the available digital channels in reception and then you are away. Even if you are in a poor reception area, the Sony XDR-M1 Portable DAB Tuner has a built in FM tuner as well.

Sound quality was very impressive overall being very clear with little interference or noise. Obviously reception quality plays an important factor in overall sound quality, but the Sony XDR-M1 Portable DAB Tuner did not disappoint.

All in all, the Sony XDR-M1 Portable DAB Tuner was very impressive, and if you are looking for a good quality portable DAB radio then I can recommend the Sony XDR-M1 Portable DAB Tuner one hundred percent.
