Tannoy Autograph Mini

It's almost fifty years since Tannoy first released the Tannoy Autograph loudspeakers on an unsuspecting public, and to celebrate this milestone Tannoy have unveiled the Autograph mini a scaled down version of the enormous original. Anyone who has seen the Tannoy Westminster loudspeakers in their 560 litre cabinets will know just how big these hand made speakers are.
Well the new £1250 Tannoy Autograph Mini are tiny and I mean tiny. At just 34cm in height and featuring the world's smallest Dual Concentric™ drive unit (10cm in diameter), these are very small but stunning loudspeakers if you like things retro.
I have to admit the design is not my cup of tea, but stand these loudspeakers on something like the Partington Dreadnoughts and they will really sing. Sadly you are not going shake the room with bass from these loudspeakers with a cabinet enclosure size of only 3 1/2 litres, but then again these are a far more sophisticated loudspeaker than that and I am sure the designers never had earth quaking bass in mind anyway when developing these speakers.
Not everyone's cup of tea aesthetically but sit down in front of them for twenty minutes and whatever your design tastes , you won't be able to help yourselves, they grow on you. Available now
